Norfork River, Arkansas, 1909

A couple of years ago I happened to come across a two 1909 Norfork, Arkansas, River maps. I took the opportunity to scan them, and I finally decided to post them. Additionally, I also had a couple of pictures of the Buzzard Roost Falls, thanks to a friend, Maryanne Edge. This small, forgotten waterfall’s destiny was sealed with the Flood Control Act of 1938.  The Norfork River basin & waterfall was inundated when the Norfork Dam was completed in 1944.

Enjoy your Ozarks' History.
