E...The Census of 1860 took place on June 1st, 1860. Edgar Tannehill was born Dec. 22, 1863...after the 1860 Census. Therefore he would not be listed on the Census. Also, Newton enlisted in the Union Army in Illinois in June of 1863, the same month that Edgar was born in Illinois.
